Mike Kaufman-Portnikov is a pianist, educator and arranger. He graduated from the branch of Moscow conservatory (Nizhniy Novgorod) – the highest qualification of piano faculty. The prize-winner of Russian and international contests of pianists. He won R. Saint-John’s casting (composer), participated in Moscow project “CATS” (pianist, educator, arranger). He is a participant of numerous jazz and theatre festivals, including Moscow and Edinburgh ones (pianist, composer, actor). He maintains active creative, concert and touring activities.
Mike says about himself: “88 piano keys contains my life. Gladness and sadness, love and delight, flights and immersions, quiet... I am a free man, coming to light and it means I play jazz!”
