Mark is a jazz musician playing and studying in Auckland. He moved there 10 years ago after working on cruise ships. He completed a BMus at the New Zealand School of Music and now is studying towards his Doctor of Musical Arts at Auckland University. His favourite pianist is Brad Mehldau; his thesis is focused on consonance and dissonance in his music.
