Russia, Stupino

Norayr recently turned 12. He started playing the piano 2 years ago. He studies at an ordinary music school in Stupino district in a small town Mikhnevo. He was born in Armenian family where no one ever listened to jazz music, but they listened to mostly Armenian folk music. Now all the family listens to Armenian songs too, but with jazz adaptation and improvisation. After 3 years his parents noticed him to be a ‘heaven-born jazzman’. Replying to the question 'Why don't you play other genres of music as well as you play jazz?' he says 'I am forced in other kinds of music, but I enjoy playing jazz'. But improvisation while enjoying is natural, each time improvisation is different, depending on the mood and surrounding. The author's composition is the result of improvisation.

Norayr dreams of growing up faster as his little hands from time to time let him down on chords and lots of wishes don't match up with his hands potential. He wants to establish his own band and to become legendary and famous.
