Styles, it isn’t important when you have interesting musicians next to you, though I like mainstream (jazz), bebop, progressive, funky, cool jazz. Favorite drum performers are Maxwell Roach, Buddy Rich, Rufus Jones, Havi Mason, Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers, Steve Gadd, John Bonham, Cozy Powell, Tommy Lee, Chad Smith, Steve Smith, Phil Collins and many others!!!! I work in instrumental ensemble on the base of academic choir chapel “Avis Cantu”, as an illustrator in Republican musical college, worked for 16 years in symphonic orchestra. I am convinced that there are not bad drums, they just require tuning.))))

After moving to Moscow the band was renamed into «Alexey Samarin Band». At present the band performs only original songs written by Alexey. In 2002 he recordered an instrumental album «Life in JFC Jazz club» together with his band. The album includes a fine mix of various styles: funk, folk, D&B jazz. «Alexey Samarin Band» took part in the following festivals «PetroJazz», «Usadba Jazz», «Kremlin life» in the Kazan.
